Are There Still Good Deals to be Had in Colorado Springs Real Estate?
In one word, absolutely! I closed on this home on East Kiowa (just to the east of downtown) last week.
The picture doesn’t really do it justice since it appears to have been an overcast day that day (pretty rare in Colorado Springs since we allegedy have more days of sunshine than San Diego). But I digress.
The home has new carpet, a fully finished basement, a detached garage and a little shed in back. The Buyer, a savvy military guy relocating here with the navy, earned about $40k in instant equity with this property. It was a foreclosure but is in great shape. We even managed to negotiate a new electrical panel through the process.
This home is a good example of how the increased inventory is creating some wonderful opportunities for Buyers. We have a hot sheet that is generated each day automatically (by some software my techie husband, Sam, wrote for us). It gives us an idea of where the best values are. If you’re looking for a way to invest…Colorado Springs real estate is a good way. There are plenty of researched reports out there that predict a good turn-around in for our town in the near future. With the strong military foundation, low unemployment, high tourism, etc. I believe it’s true.
