Going Fishin’

Posted in Colorado Springs Real Estate at 2:53 pm by Angela Byrne

You might think that putting your home on the market doesn’t have anything to do with fishing. However, when you finally reel in a qualified buyer, you may change your mind.

Pricing correctly is imperative in a Buyer’s Market. No matter where you live in Colorado Springs or surrounding areas, when you list your home for sale, you’re going to have competition.

Think of your pricing decision in respect to where you are going to drop your line in the water. If you bait your hook, but sink your line too far above the school of eligible buyers, you are NOT going to get anyone to bite.

Chances are you will then lose precious time lowering your price in small increments to find the Buyers. Over time, this technique takes a toll on your marketing strategy. Buyer’s may misinterpret a higher DOM (Days on Market) as a result of deferred maintenance, faults with the home or neighborhood, or worse.

The moral of the story? Don’t cast your line into the water unless you’ve done your research and you know how to target the correct Buyers.
